What is Local Speed Friending?
Speed friending is a structured way to meet several new people in a short amount of time. You’ll have 5-minute mini conversations with other attendees, helping you quickly identify potential new friends in and around the Sacramento area.
How do I sign up for an event?
Registering is easy! Head over to our Events page, browse the upcoming schedule, and click “Register” or “Find an Event!” on any gathering that interests you.
What if I am extra shy or nervous?
Don't worry! Our event planners can help provide topic cards to strike up a conversation. And remember, it's only 5 minutes!
What if I can’t make it to an event I registered for?
We understand plans change. Please let us know at least 48 hours in advance if you need to cancel so we can give our venues a proper headcount.
Do I have to live in the Sacramento area to attend an event?
Yes – this social effort is focused on introducing and meeting new people right in your neighborhood. But if you want to bring an event to a city near you, reach out to our admins via the Contact Us page!
Do I need to come with a friend or can I come alone?
You’re welcome either way. Many people come alone, and our format is designed to make it easy and comfortable to meet new people. We can adjust for an extra person or two, just don't bring an army!
Is there an age requirement?
While we want to be as inclusive as possible, because some of our events may be in bars or areas with age limitations, we ask attendees to be 21+. However, there is no upper limit!
Is there a cost to attend?
Nope! We don't believe making friends should cost money, when you're already dedicating time. We work with the venues to ensure we don't charge you.
